Welcome to Rythm Shetland Sheepdogs and Italian Greyhounds

We live north of a little town called Shannonville, about 40 minutes west of Kingston, Ontario and 1 hour from the US border crossing at Alex Bay.
Our first pure bred, registered dog was a lovely blue merle sheltie called Hai Lai's Puff O'Smoke CD. Smoke was taken from us very young. We couldn't replace him but filled the huge hole left in our hearts with a blue male collie called Ch. Scotchdale's Blue Thunder, CD , CGC. Thunder was an absolutely wonderful collie who lived to a ripe old age.

On visiting a new friend in Atlanta, Georgia, I was introduced, back in 2006, to an Italian Greyhound who took my heart and wrapped it around his front paw from the moment we met. Reddi has been a once in a lifetime friend. And in Italian Greyhounds, one is never enough. They seem to come in packs! I did agility and obedience with Reddi until an accident injured him and jumping was no longer an option. We now have 5 of them!!! And a couple seem to be lobbying to stay from our most recent litter.

We breed generally once a year. Our puppies have gone on to forever homes where they've excelled in obedience, agility, herding and some have taken to visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes. All of them have been much loved members of their families.

Here at Rythm temperament and health are our main concerns.

When you send us an email, please let us know where you are contacting us from and what, exactly, you're looking for. While we live a few hours from a major airport, we really prefer not to ship. We will drive quite a distance to meet our pup's new family.
